Dr. Fayaz Bharwani was born and raised in Calgary. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University, he returned to Calgary for medical school (MD) and his anesthesiology residency. He subsequently did a fellowship (additional specialized training) in obstetrical anesthesia and has been trained and certified in administering Botox for cosmetics, temperomandibular joint (TMJ)/masseter rigidity as well as migraines.
Dr. Bharwani has been a specialist in anesthesiology for over 10 years and currently works at South Health Campus where he is the clinical lead for obstetrical anesthesia. He has several administrative roles as well as is involved academically in teaching medical students and residents. He is a clinical assistant professor with the University of Calgary.
He is a member of the Alberta Medical Association and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
